Great Tips

Okay . . . We know, that you know, how to ride, that’s why you are checking out this site.  But there are a few tips we can give you, so you can benefit from local knowledge, to make your Great South East trip a real buzz!

The Great South East is a real tourist centre which draws people from around the world . . . so it can get busy!

Be sure to book your bike and accommodation early, as things can sell out quickly.

Set out early before the tin tops (aka cars) get on the road.

For those overseas visitors, we don’t have crocodile crossings or people riding kangaroos, but we do have a lot of wildlife so be vigilant on early morning and late evening rides.

Road conditions vary from day to day due to the weather conditions and traffic so please be careful of side roads and gravel/debris on road and intersections.

Have you ever been mid corner and come across a patch of gravel from a side road?  Yes, your rear end does suck onto the seat in anticipation!

Summertime in Queensland is quite hot and humid, don’t forget to pack some water, remember if your feeling thirsty, you have already started to dehydrate.

So, ‘head down, bum up’ and 'Go get out there!'
